Backing up a video DVD to an ISO file (windows only)

DVD Shrink can be used to backup video DVD's onto a standard 4.7-Gb DVD iso image file. When buying a video DVD its better to play the copied DVD rather than the original and of course this will preserve your original DVD.
DVD Shrink is a miracle of software it:
  • Rips (takes the video & audio stream off the DVD)
  • Compresses the stream if necessary
  • Limited Re-Authoring
  • Creates an ISO file image for the DVD
Once the ISO file is created you can either burn the ISO to a 4.7Gb DVD or just mount the ISO file as a drive and view the video.

Note that on some machines DVD Shrink will not even start because of  Data Execution Prevention settings. The program should be added to the DEP exemption list to allow the program to execute.
